You didn't really tell the story. Like how abusive did he get? What was the thing that woke you up to the situation? How did it turn out? How difficult was getting out? What happened afterward, to him, to you? Did you find happiness in a later relationship? You basically said, watch out for little signs; they could lead to entrapment. But there was so much more there.
