I’ve been married 23 years with another ten in various states of relationship with the same woman. Our kids are up and out. We’re still together and get along well. But I am completely clear that, if I survive my wife, I will not marry again. I like domestic life well enough, but am also self sufficient. I lived alone for 10 years before we married and am a good chef, adequate at laundry, enjoy food shopping, and clean as I go. I could never again do the work it takes to really get to know somebody that well.
