Another way to look at it is that human reproduction is a "lossy" system, in which many potential lives are put aside all along the way. Not all those 100 million sperm in a single male ejaculation are going to end up as people. Nor will all 300,000 of the eggs a woman has at puberty (thank heaven!). And on down the pipeline. About 1/3 of zygotes never implant on the uterus wall. And all this without abortion. The key here is not to look at the road not traveled, but to love and care for the live children you actually have.
